Exploits of a Young Don Juan (French: Les exploits d'un jeune Don Juan, Italian: L'iniziazione, also known as What Every Frenchwoman Wants) is a 1986 French-Italian erotic coming of age film written and directed by Gianfranco Mingozzi. It is loosely based on the novel Les Exploits d'un jeune Don Juan by Guillaume Apollinaire.[2][3]
Plot[edit]
Roger (Fabrice Josso) is a 16-year-old who seeks to lose his virginity in this softcore erotic drama. His initial efforts are unsuccessful, but World War I breaks out and men are seen marching off to battle. Roger goes overboard when he is presented with several amorous opportunities. He soon impregnates the maid, his aunt, and his sister in quick succession. Roger desperately tries to marry off the women to other men to avoid a lurid scandal.

Provocative, scabrous, irreverent, this book crudely disconcerted me to the point that I was unable to go after these 128 pages. The scenes are horribly obscene, described with great prosaicism, devoid of any interest, of any ideal, the words are bluntly frustuous, bawdy for a great poet, it's frustrating. Roger is only a whimsical depraved, and the writing is only the gangrener of more, to follow his road is an overwhelming, annoying and terribly tiresome exercise!

I .. um .. I don't think I can give this a starred review. Rating does not compute, because it didn't feel quite like a 'real' book to me. Poet/playwright/author Guillaume Apollinaire was a pretty important guy in his day. He is said to have coined the term “Surrealism” and to have written one of the earliest surrealist plays. He was a big deal in Montparnasse, and moved in some heady artistic circles. He was wounded in WWI and died from Spanish Flu. Became interested in his erotic writings just recently, though some might call this pornography. It's very sexually candid, and I actually appreciated that about it. As for the story, well he does the maid, his sister, and pretty much anyone else who is remotely willing.

Une «histoire» très sexuelle c'est le moins qu'on puisse dire. N'est pas sans rappeler Sade, en un peu moins tordu. Pas vraiment d'histoire en soi pour être honnête, plus ou moins un ramassi d'acte sexuel décrit qui se succède.. Cela a tout de même du en choquer quelques-uns lorsqu'on considère que ce livre fut publié pour la première fois en 1911.

Pročitao jer je imam na polici. Nasmijava me sama pomisao na Apollinairea, pjesnika-dadaista koji piše erotski roman. Pretpostavljam da ih je pisao zbog novca. No, kako bilo, pošteno me nasmijao njegov humuristični način pisanja, upravo kao da se sprda sa žanrom. Rekao bih da svojim hiperboliziranjem i opscenim opisima vodi ironijski dijalog sa sladunjavim erotskim štivom. Zadnja rečenica u kojoj glavni lik kaže da čini patriotsku dužnost jer povećava natalitet svoje zemlje je kolosalna :)

Je ne devrais vraiment pas être surprise, étant donné le titre, mais j'aurai pu faire sans les scènes incestueuses et limite pédophiles. C'est, en résumé, un livre porno d'époque.
Le livre m'a vaguement rappelé (en moins sadique) le peu de Sade que j'ai lu, qui n'était pas non plus mon ecrivain préféré!

Sanottakoon heti alkuun, että en ole Markiisi de Sadejani lukenut. Tässä valossa niteen ensimmäinen romaani Hirveä Hospodar tuntui hieman menevän ohitse. Se oli oikeastaan vain pornografiaa, ei edes löyhästi verhottua sellaista. Mony Vibescu on hirvittävä sadisti, jonka edesottamuksista ei olettanut koskaan lukevansa minkäänlaisessa muodossa. Kirjan lopussa ollut lyhyt kääntäjän analyysi valotti ehkä jonkin verran enemmän romaanin taustoja, mutta silti en aivan vakuuttunut.

Seguramente soy muy exigente y rarito (sí, seguro que soy ambos), pero este libro, que leí por curiosidad por ver cómo era la literatura erótica de hace un siglo, me ha parecido un truño. Bueno, el caso es que se deja leer, porque es muy cortito y tampoco se puede decir que sea aburrido, porque la acción es constante… pero no por eso deja de ser un coñazo (expresión que le viene al pelo, dado su contenido).
